Kekst CNC Tops Mergermarket Japan PR Advisor League Table in 1H2023
With the world facing a number of challenges in the first half of 2023, global M&A activity stayed below levels seen in past record years.
By contrast, M&A deals involving Japanese companies totaled JPY 10.8 trillion, up 17.2% on a year-on-year basis reaching the highest level since 2018. The total number of Japan-related M&A deals increased slightly to 2,347 according to the latest data from Refinitive.
The Tokyo office of Kekst CNC continued to support our clients for both domestic and cross-border deals, leveraging the expertise and credibility we have built over 20 years operating in this country. In Japan, we ranked first by a wide margin in terms of deal value (USD 16,325 million) and second in terms of number of deals, further consolidating our position as the most trusted PR advisor for M&A in Japan. Kekst CNC was the only PR consultancy firm ranked in the top 3 for both categories, deal value and deal count.
