Stockholm, 8 February 2021 - Kekst CNC Stockholm has appointed Claes de Faire, the former editor-in-chief of Swedish titles such as Fokus, Veckans Affärer and Resumé, as a Senior Advisor in its first new hire since the transition from JKL to Kekst CNC Stockholm.
Helena Norrman, Partner and Managing Director of Kekst CNC Stockholm says:
As one of Sweden’s most prominent storytellers, Claes de Faire will be key in helping our clients sharpen their narratives and increase their visibility. As well as strengthening our media relations expertise, Claes will also play an important part in elevating our crisis offering. Kekst CNC combines local expertise with a global platform, and Claes’ experience makes him the perfect addition to our growing team.”
Claes de Faire adds,
“Kekst CNC is building something very exciting in the Swedish market for strategic communications. For many years, I have followed and been impressed by JKL’s development. Now it will be very interesting to see and to be a part of the next phase, when the strong local presence is combined with a promising global platform.”
de Faire has more than 20 years’ experience in journalism and communications. Most recently, he was co-owner and editor-in-chief of Mitt-I, Stockholm’s local news network. Prior to that, he was the publisher and editor-in-chief of the weekly news publication, Fokus, business outlet Veckans Affärer and the media and advertising industry trade magazine Resumé. As a business leader in the media at a time where the industry experienced major disruption, he was responsible for continuing to deliver profit despite the threat of digitalisation and changing revenue models.
In addition to his media experience, de Faire has held several management roles, including at the Bonnier Group and as Head of Innovation at the executive recruitment company Novare. He was also the host of several programs on TV8 and has had three novels published by Wahlström & Widstrand.
Kekst CNC Stockholm’s other Senior Advisors include Sweden’s former Prime Minister Göran Persson, who has held the role for many years, and Annika Poutiainen who was hired in December 2020 as an Industrial Advisor.
