Theo Birmpoutsoukis

Managing Director
Theo is an EU public affairs specialist and advises large corporates on how to navigate through the complex EU political and regulatory landscape.

He has extensive experience in advising clients in competition and antitrust regulatory matters in a variety of industries and sectors including telecommunications and energy. With a sound understanding of the EU institutional framework, he provides in depth policy and political analysis and prepares companies on how to anticipate change.

With a sound understanding of the EU institutional framework, he provides in depth policy and political analysis and prepares companies on how to anticipate change.

Theo is a Managing Director at Kekst CNC’s Brussels office, offering advocacy support on EU competition/antitrust policy and regulatory aspects of cartel investigations, M&A’s and State aid.

In addition to classic EU public affairs communications, Theo advises companies on stakeholder engagement, reputational issues and crisis management. An EU qualified lawyer, he holds an LL.M in European Business Law (Vrije University Brussel) and he is currently a Ph.D. candidate on Competition Law and Algorithms at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. 

Prior to joining Kekst CNC, Theo worked for another international consultancy on strategic communications. Before becoming a public affairs adviser, he worked at the Directorate-General for Competition of the European Commission, in private practice, and at the Administrative Court of Appeal in Greece.
