James has significant experience handling a wide range of reputational issues, and is well versed in constructing comprehensive crisis communications strategies tailored for internal and external stakeholders. He advises senior leaders facing business-critical issues, such as cyber-attacks, data breaches, product recalls, corporate investigations, industrial relations, redundancies, high-profile court cases, sustainability issues and brand attacks. He has advised clients across the UK, Europe, North America and the Middle East.
James has developed a particular specialization in helping companies prepare for and respond to cyber and ransomware attacks. He has helped hundreds of organizations navigate the communications issues they face during and after an attack, including internal communications, client or customer messaging, media enquiries, GDPR notifications and ransom payment considerations from a communications perspective.
He previously worked at global strategic communications consultancies where he specialized in issues and crisis communications. James studied in the United Kingdom, Norway and France. He has a degree in Politics and an MA in International Relations.
