Fatima has worked in the communications industry for over five years, starting her career as a communications consultant for the Education Department of the World Bank. She has consulted for a range of international organizations and government entities, including the European Commission, the Ministry of Justice, and the Ministry of Education in Sudan.

She holds a master’s degree in education and international development from University College London (UCL), Institute of Education (IOE), and a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Khartoum, Sudan.
Fatima has also been selected for several international awards and programs, such as The Study of the US Institute for Women Leaders in 2015, the Young African Leadership Programme (YALI) in 2017, and Chevening, the UK government's international awards programme in 2018.
