As the COVID-19 pandemic unfolded, both the media and general public looked to the most powerful businesses and their leaders, as a source of information and strength in the time of crisis.
They faced unprecedented levels of public and media scrutiny; firstly from the outside, challenging their participation and help of the relief efforts to tackle the growing pandemic, and also on the inside, being publicly held to account for how they were communicating the safeguarding of their employees and their livelihoods.
